These are some pictures of the students I've been teaching this year. I teach adults English during the day and then tutor 3rd graders after school for an hour. I just finished the after school tutoring and have just 2 weeks left of the adult classes. I've really enjoyed teaching my students and we've had some really fun field trips. I will be relieved to have a little break though. It's been a very stressful year doing this new Toyota Family Literacy program. Teaching the students is great but having two bosses has been difficult. Then they changed my job from a 3/5 contract to just a 20 hour job next year so I won't be returning to the same job next year. I will miss my students but not the stress. I am unsure what I'll be doing next year and hope to have better news about next years job soon. Teaching can be both rewarding and frustrating. If we could just teach without all the politics, and hoop jumping it would be great.
