I can survive!

Well, I did it! I survived my first 12 hour day working for Rio Salado. I came home about 8:30 pm and went promptly to bed. I was too tired to even find anything to eat. Amy was a sweety and bought me some food from Fazolis and Cassie rubbed my tired back. I hadn't slept well the night before but last night I was so tired I just slept all night. Then I woke up this morning at 6:30 and had to hurry out the door by 7:00. I'm happy today is my 8 hour day.
I think this will be a good job, but it will take a little getting used to. The driving, teaching 4-5 classes in one day and just a different program. It's been interesting to see how different Rio Salado and Mesa are with their Adult Ed program. Each has things I like. I like the pay from Rio much better but I miss some of the supplies that Mesa gave us. I went ahead and bought a copy machine to put in my room (which has been wonderful!) When they told me I could only make 20 copies a day Iknew that would never work.
The people here seem really nice and they have been very helpful. My classes are very small right now with only 5 -9 students in each class. I'm just not used to teaching one class after another without a break. I took better care of myself today and found times to sit down and squeeze in little breaks here and there. Lunch is only 15 minutes which is crazy, but right now I don't have my 12:30 class so I'm very happy to have the extra time to get things set up. Well, my job is going well, now I just need to find time to get ready for Melanie. Aah! She's coming tommorow and my house is a wreck! I hope I have the energy to do some cleaning tonight. I will talk some more later.

Im glad you are liking your job so far. It must be hard adjusting to the difference in hours, and classes back to back, but hopefully it will get easier as you get used to it. How has the drive been so far? hopefully it isnt too bad.
