Well, by now you've probably heard that a cute orange Tabby cat has decided to adopt us. Back in December she came up to me and said, "Hey, I want to live here". At first we just fed her outside so she wouldn't starve cuz I'm allergic to cats.
Then one day I noticed that she was getting beat up by the other cats. I looked and saw that she had no claws to defend herself. So, being the softy that I am, I started to let her in at night and only in Cassie's room.
Well, as you can imagine that lasted about a month and now she is a bonafida pet who has full reign of the house. She definitely belonged to someone because she's fixed and has all her claws de-clawed. She's also house broken and very mild and sweet. My biggest worry (besides being allergic) is that the dogs wouldn't get along with her. It's been amazing to watch them all walk around the house together. The dogs will run past her and she'll just have a bored look on her face.
Well, anyways here's the dilemma, we don't have a real name for her because we weren't planning on keeping her. I call her pretty kitty and Cassie calls her Moski and Amy calls her Misty. So, we need some input on what to officially name her.
Another dilemma is how safe do you think she will be for Melanie and the new baby? She's not really a feral cat (just lost for a month or two I'm guessing), but is there a test we can get for her to make sure she's safe or should we just keep her in Cassie's room when they visit? I don't know all the ins and outs of cats and pregnancy and babies. I know Melanie should stay away from the Kitty litter but that's all I know. So, let me know what info you might have.

well, I know pregnant people own cats. And they are just fine. It's the cat poop that's most dangerous, but they still carry bugs. And they are very allergenic. If the cat just poops/pees in the litter box that's probably ok. I'd probably just stay away from the cat though. But best case scenario is probably to give it away (it would probably do your sinuses much good anyway). Just my opinion. :)

I love that cat so much.. You didn't really pick a very good picture. She looks a lot prettier in real life. It's a really good thing that she's housetrained or it might cause some problems! We should make her a spot in my room where she can sleep, because she always sleeps on the floor and thats probrably not comfortable!
